Ebates Scam?

I am writing this article to clear up any doubts you may have and assure you that Ebates is not a scam! It is a cash back shopping site that pays you back a percentage of your online purchase if you shop through a link on Ebates.com.

It might seem too good to be true, but it works because the online merchant pays Ebates a commission for sending you to their site, and Ebates shares the commission with you. It is completely legitimate and beneficial to all parties all involved. The online merchant gets your business, Ebates keeps some of the commission, and you get the rest. There is absolutely no ebates scam.

Now that you know how it works, you might still have doubts that they will actually send you a check. There are some comments posted online claiming that a check never came and therefore it must be a scam. Those people usually did not read the payout terms, because if you have under $5.01 in your account, your balance will be carried over to the next payout date. When you first join, you get a $5 signup bonus. However, you will not receive that until you actually shop through Ebates and earn cash back. Misunderstanding the payout terms is probably what leads some people to claim that there is an Ebates scam.

I have been using Ebates since 2008 and have always received my checks when I was supposed to. I am even going to post a scanned check here to prove that yes, Ebates does send you money. I received this check recently and I actually forgot that it was coming because I had not done that much shopping over the summer. So here it is:

Ebates

As you can see from the check above, Ebates does send out payments.  There are two options for getting paid. You can either have a check sent to you or have the money deposited into your paypal account. Pick whichever payment method works best for you.

If you still have any doubts as to its credibility, here is some more information that will help. Ebates has been around since 1998 and was started by two Deputy District Attorneys who used to prosecute online fraud and identity theft in Silicon Valley. If there were anything scammy about the site, it would not still be around over ten years later. In fact, there are over 8 million members who have been paid over $50 million. It should alleviate any doubt you might still have to know that there are that many members who have saved millions of dollars collectively.

Ebates is free to join, and all you need to do to sign up is give your email address so they can notify you when your cash back has been posted to your account. You have nothing to lose by signing up, and you can test it out and see for yourself that it works. Believe me, you’ll be kicking yourself for not signing up sooner once you start earning cash back. There are over 1,200 stores on Ebates, so most of the shopping you do online anyway can be done through Ebates to earn cash back. You will be amazed how the cash starts adding up.

Do not pay attention to people who claim there is an Ebates scam, because that is absolutely not true. As a happy Ebates user, I can assure it is totally legitimate. Do not buy another thing online until you sign up for Ebates, because you will be losing out on the opportunity to save a lot of money.
